Olivia Harper is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor who works with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, major life changes, and periods of feeling overwhelmed or stuck.
Olivia believes therapy works best when clients have a space where they can speak openly without fear of judgment. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Rather than applying the same formula to every person, she works with clients to understand the patterns, experiences, relationships, and circumstances that are shaping their lives.
She has particular experience supporting people who are questioning their relationship with alcohol or other substances, including clients who may not identify with traditional ideas of addiction or recovery. Olivia helps clients explore what is working, what is causing harm, and what they would like their lives to look like moving forward.
Her work draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based approaches, and person-centered therapy. Depending on the needs of the client, sessions may focus on developing concrete coping strategies, changing long-standing patterns, processing difficult experiences, or simply creating enough space to better understand what they are feeling.
Olivia earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and later completed additional training in substance use treatment. Outside of the office, she enjoys hiking, gardening, reading, and spending time near the water.
